Meet Chessi, our mascot!

Chessi believes that all people, no matter your financial background or geographic location, should have the opportunity to join a nearby chess program. Whether you are still learning the piece movements, or whether you are competitive and are ready for in-person tournaments, Chessi wants to make it easy for you to get started!

Our Mission Statement…

 …is to promote and expand access to chess clubs, instruction, and friendly competition to all ages. We most notably want to help the youth in our local community gain access to chess, in and around Snohomish County. Everyone is welcome into our programs, regardless of their financial background.

We teach and promote life skills such as critical thinking, patience, sportsmanship, growth mindset, and much more through affordable chess programs, partnerships with schools and local organizations, and support for coaches and volunteers who do the same.

When you register for one of our chess programs at a local school, you will receive one-of-a-kind chess instruction from two chess coaches, both with significant tournament and coaching experience! Whether you are just learning the piece movements, or you already have chess tournament experience, our two coaches at each program ensure that the material taught is catered to your level!

All our chess programs feature warm-up games, lesson time, a practice tournament round, and occasional puzzle challenges!
